Welcome to the new website for Hamrya Whippets. In the early 1981, I purchased my first Whippet puppy from Linda & Paul Garwacki (Bitterblue). Whippets have been my passion ever since. Their superior intelligence and versatility, combined with an extraordinarily compassionate character, have made Whippets a breed I will never be without. First and foremost, my Whippets are my companions and pets.

Most notably, the greatest achievements in regards to myself as a breeder in the ring, have been under breeder/judges at the AWC National and Regional Specialty shows.  In 1989, I went Best of Winners and received a Select Ribbon with a 6-9 puppy, Ch Hamrya's Teacher's Pet.  This was the first time she was ever shown.  She finished with two more five point majors at AWC Regional Specialties in 1989.  Two years later, we were Best In Futurity with a three and a half months old puppy (Ch Hamrya's Ice Breaker) judged by breeder/judge Doris Wear (Stoney Meadows).  This was the final year that the 3-5 month Futurity class was offered at the AWC National.  This particular futurity was the largest ever, with an entry of 254 puppies.  As a breeder striving to create excellence, the Futurity award was the most self gratifying and rewarding.  At the 2003 Mid West Whippet Regional Specialty our newest addition, Grand Prix's Prairie Rose bred by Wendy Gay & Linda Paich and sired by Stinger, was Best in Sweeps under breeder/judge Patty Coles (Hi Tor Whippets)

We currently have four adult and two puppy Whippets in our home located in Westport, Massachusetts.  Ch Hamrya's Honey Beee JC ROM - Stinger (Top Twenty Contender '97, '98), Am DC Can Ch Hamrya's Bandolino MC - Bandita (Top Twenty Contender '99 and '00), Hamrya's Bellagio - Baccarat, Ch Hamrya's Mandalay Bay JC - Mira, Hamrya Nasusa Me Too and Hamrya Nasusa What About Me.
